#20: Mothers Deserve Recovery Time

The way society structures work and family life doesn’t always support people in the ways they need most. For many mothers, maternity leave is short, unpaid, or entirely unavailable — which places impossible pressure on women during one of the most vulnerable stages of life.

After the physical and emotional demands of childbirth, new mothers should be given the time to heal, bond, and adjust. Instead, too many are forced back into the workplace far too soon. The lack of support isn’t just unfair — it directly affects the well-being of both the parent and the child.
