24. Marine decoration
If you are going to live by the ocean, the nautical-style decoration only makes sense. You can choose any decoration you like. At stores like Home Goods and At Home, you'll be able to find marine decorations all year or wait until summer to see them at places like Walmart and Target. And if you own a beach house, you probably already have a few items you need to complete the look.
However, too much décor can make a place look awkward if you're not careful. We recommend looking for artworks that reflect the ocean but not directly. For example, you could place a large conch shell on top of a stack of books on a coffee table or a reef bowl on top of a vanity. You can also keep what you already have and reduce the amount of furniture you have in the house. Remember that clutter is never beautiful, and objects must be elegantly displayed.
