11. There's a Knock at the Door
Headcase-and-a-half, a Reddit user, recounts the day she discovered her spouse was having an affair. "The first of June, 2018." A typical day. It's a Friday. My spouse kissed me goodbye and left to go to work. I was cleaning the house in preparation for a weekend visit from a friend. The doorbell rang, and I answered it. This man had spotted them six months before and told his wife that she had to cease the experience.
"He believes she did put an end to it...for roughly three months. They started up again after that. He called my husband when he found out they were at it again (since he knew if he confronted him in person, he'd be in jail for what he'd done). He ordered my husband to leave his wife alone, or he would come and tell me everything that was going on over the phone. My spouse felt he was bluffing. As a result, I was the last to find out. My spouse never returned home. He rented an AirBnB and hired an attorney. On December 21, 2018, the couple divorced. We'd been together for over a quarter-century. It's still hurting."
