Indonesia's Space Endeavors
The space race of the 1960s and 1970s primarily involved larger countries. However, that changed in 1976 when Indonesia made a surprising entry. In July of that year, they launched Palapa 1.
This marked Indonesia as a pioneer among developing countries in space exploration. The launch wasn't a human-crewed shuttle but a satellite system developed and operated by the nation. A significant achievement for Indonesia!
