You may not know its precise location, but many of us have heard of the infamous volcanic eruption of Krakatoa. That's right; this mighty volcano is part of the Indonesian archipelago and remains highly active.
Of course, the most famous eruption of Krakatoa occurred in 1883. This eruption triggered a catastrophic tsunami and claimed the lives of over 30,000 people. The effects of this eruption were felt on a global scale!
