Kristi Yamaguchi and Bret Hedican
When Kristi Yamaguchi first encountered Bret Hedican, she was still in a daze from her Olympic triumph. Having just secured gold at the 1992 Winter Games, Yamaguchi became the first Asian-American woman to achieve such a milestone.
Thankfully, Kristi Yamaguchi recognized Bret Hedican when they met again. Hedican, an American ice hockey player who competed in the 1992 and 2006 Olympics, married Yamaguchi in 2000. They have two daughters.
