Mirka Vavrincová and Roger Federer
Roger Federer is a household name in tennis, but what about his wife? The Swiss tennis star first met Czech-born Mirka Vavrincová at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. At 19, Federer started chatting with his fellow Swiss tennis pro, and nine years later, they were married.
In addition to his many achievements, Roger Federer holds two Olympic medals — one gold and one silver. His wife, Mirka Federer, was first discovered by the legendary Martina Navratilova but had to retire from tennis in 2002 because of a foot injury.
