Preserving the Leader
Like other nations, the North Korean government strives to immortalize its leaders and display their authority. Typically, this is accomplished by creating tombs, shrines, or monuments to honor these iconic figures.
In North Korea, this effort took the form of preserving the former leader in a glass tomb. This tomb, enclosed in glass, serves as a significant tourist attraction. When visiting, bowing at the leader's feet and arms is customary as a sign of respect.
