While most of the world operates on the 21st-century calendar, North Korea follows a distinct chronology. Their calendar centers around the birth of their founding figure. Consequently, their calendar commenced in April 1912.
Presently, North Korea exists within the 108th year of the Juche calendar. Although this may seem unusual to external observers, the people of North Korea have become accustomed to this system.
