The Mansion Handover: From Tyson to 50 Cent and Back
Back in 2003, Mike Tyson wanted to sell his fancy mansion in Farmington, Connecticut. He sold it to 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III, for a big price of $4.1 million. Then, in 2007, 50 Cent decided to sell the mansion again, hoping to get a huge $18.5 million for it. This created a lot of buzz in the real estate world.
However, the market dynamics of the area posed a formidable challenge. The mansion's price was much higher than other nearby homes, which kept it unsold for 12 years. In 2019, 50 Cent finally sold it, but for much less, at $2.9 million.
