14. Cold doesn't give you a cold
I was EMT, and I had to tell a patient with severe pneumonia and the patient's family that you don't get sick (get a cold) from skin contact. My family is vehemently arguing over my claim that I don't know what I'm talking about because I'm not a doctor. Trying to explain to them the need for a foreign object to enter your system is the most absurd to them.
