15. Playing with the king of hearts

I'm a paramedic, and I recently evacuated an idiot who presented himself to the local hospital, which discovered he was having a heart attack and required him to be sent to a larger hospital for treatment.

During my examination, I inquired as to how long he had been experiencing chest pain. He says he's been on and off for the past twelve months.

Do you have any ancestors? (This is one of the most important indications.) Yes, of course. Dad passed away from a heart attack. Brother passed away due to a heart attack. Both of them gave their initial presentations, and they didn't waste any time.

So, you've had intermittent chest pain for a year and have a family history of your closest male relatives abruptly tossing hearties and dying, but you've never had it checked out.

Furthermore, you only went to the hospital tonight because your family pushed you to do so.

I advised him to get a good kick in the arse. He did, to his credit, agree.
