2. This Now-Debunked College is Located in an Abandoned Mansion
Claverack College's last intact building is a lovely abandoned structure near Elizaville, New York. Have you never heard of it before? Because the institution was only open from 1869 to 1902, this is the case. After school ended, a family moved in, and the structure was turned into a private residence. The house was then repurposed into a school and a children's foster home. A Russian artist has owned the property since 1988. With sculptures and walking routes, he turned the 12 acres into a park-like setting. On the grounds, there's also a guest cabin and a theater.
When you look at images of the home's interior now, you can see that it has been gutted. It has a loss of quality to the point of being uninhabitable. There are a few big problems, such as a hole in the ceiling that needs to be fixed. Unfortunately, the longer an abandoned property sits empty, the worse it will become. I genuinely hope this lovely home is purchased.
