9. Hook End Manor may be haunted.
The oldest house on the list is this one in Oxfordshire, England. Hook End was constructed for the Bishop of Reading around 1580. David Gilmour, the guitarist for Pink Floyd, was one of its most well-known inhabitants. Gilmour erected a recording studio to the barn in the 1970s. Several musicians, including Rod Stewart, The Smiths, and others, recorded albums, singles, and LPs. In the house, though, it wasn't all fun and games. When Morrissey of The Smiths visited, he saw the ghost of a monk strolling the halls early in the morning, as if he were rousing everyone up for their morning prayers.
A family moved into the house in 2006. With an air weapon, the son inadvertently shot his mother, putting her in a coma. Mark White, a music producer, paid $17 million for the property in 2009. He, on the other hand, interested in the barn's studio. He took care of the one structure, but he neglected the others. The state of the mansion deteriorated over time. Because had abandoned the house for those years by the time 2017 arrived around, the new owner had to refurbish it extensively.
