The supermodels Bell and Gigi Hadid are undoubtedly familiar to many of you. Mohamed Hadid, their father, was a multimillionaire long before they were born. In 2011, he began construction of a residence on the outskirts of Bel-Air, Los Angeles. However, this landed him in hot water with the authorities. By 2014, the mansion had grown to such proportions that the local government had to intervene.

His building permits never mentioned that this would be a 30,000-square-foot residence, and they didn't want it built on the edge of the cliff because of safety concerns. As a result, they began a protracted court struggle. Mohamed Hadid's building permits were canceled for illegal construction, and he was sentenced to 200 hours of community service. Furthermore, the neighbors were not pleased with the situation. For years, the structure had come to a halt. He couldn't finish the project since his permits had been canceled. So this spectacle of a house sat there for a total of seven years. The neighbors had enough in 2018. They filed a lawsuit against Hadid to have the house demolished. The house had been neglected for so long that it was on the verge of falling apart.
