Purrrfect Spot

A survey conducted to explore the prevalence of cat ownership in different countries revealed that Russians were the most enthusiastic cat owners, with more than half of the Russian respondents reporting having cats in their homes.

When examining the reasons behind this trend, scientists suggested that cultural peculiarities influence the love for felines in Russia. One explanation offered was that the term "train" is not commonly used when referring to cats because it implies forcing an animal to do something, and cats cannot be easily coerced into doing anything they don't want to do.
