Thailand Has Some Iconic Beaches
Beyond the fame of Baywatch, Thailand boasts some of the world's most renowned and picturesque beaches. These coastlines are adorned with captivating rock formations that add an air of seclusion and tranquility, attracting travelers seeking the coveted island lifestyle.
Among the most well-known beaches is Maya Bay on Phi Phi Leh, which gained fame after its feature in the movie "The Beach." However, due to environmental concerns caused by the overwhelming number of daily visitors, with up to 5,000 people, the authorities decided to close the beach until 2021. This measure was taken to allow for ecological recovery and sustainable tourism practices.
