Medical Concerns
Despite the twins' overall good health, Abby and Brittany have faced various medical challenges and operations. Shortly after birth, they underwent surgery to remove a third arm. Over the years, they have needed procedures to address unnecessary spinal growth, scoliosis correction, and expanding their chest cavity.
While it is exceedingly rare for four sets of conjoined twins like Abby and Brittany to survive into adulthood, doctors remain hopeful. Thus far, they have not discovered any congenital heart defects or organ abnormalities in the twins, which is a positive sign for their continued well-being. The medical team's optimism and advancements in healthcare contribute to the twins' ongoing health and quality of life.
