Proposed Separation
Separating the conjoined twins has been raised on only two occasions. The first time was soon after the twins' birth, but their parents promptly dismissed the idea. The potential risks involved, such as the likelihood of one twin losing their life or experiencing permanent disability, outweighed any possible benefits.
The second instance occurred when Brittany fell ill with pneumonia as a child, leaving Abby bedridden and restless. During this time, Abby expressed a desire to be separated. However, upon witnessing Brittany's distress and tears, Abby quickly reassured her twin that they would never part, reaffirming their unbreakable bond and commitment to staying together.
