The Original Hiltons
Before Abby and Brittany were Daisy and Violet Hilton, British conjoined twins born in 1908. Like the Hensel twins, these sisters shared an inseparable bond and were constantly in the public eye. They traveled extensively across Europe and the United States from a young age.
Eventually, they performed in vaudeville and American burlesque circuits during the 1920s and 1930s. Later in life, both sisters surprised the public by marrying gay men, a decision that many believed to be a mere publicity stunt. Unfortunately, the twins passed away shortly before reaching their 61st birthday.
