10. Next, select the area
If you haven't already chosen a window seat area, this is the next step. When choosing, not only do you want to make sure that these guides and plans will work, but that is where you will want to build window seats. If you don't like this area, move on to the next space in your home.
One key to helping you decide the best location is to ensure that space is at least 60 inches wide and that the window bottom is at least 20 inches above ground level. You also don't want to cover any heating or cooling areas, such as baseboard heaters or HVAC vents.
