"Unfortunate" but "as anticipated": Lando Norris reflects on his disappointing 17th place finish in Spain.

As a result of the front wing damage, Norris was compelled to pit at the conclusion of the opening lap. When questioned about the incident with Hamilton, Norris regarded it as an "unfortunate" occurrence. However, he emphasized that even without the collision on the first lap, he would have faced difficulties in achieving a top 10 finish.

Expressing his frustration after the race, the McLaren driver openly acknowledged his error, stating, "I didn't notice that the Red Bull car ahead of me had gone off, and as a result, I assumed there would be regular speed around him, but everyone suddenly slowed down significantly. So, in my opinion, it was just an unlucky situation. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but it was a misjudgment on my part because I couldn't see the car ahead that had gone off, so I consider it unlucky. However, even if that incident hadn't occurred, we wouldn't have had the pace to finish in the points anyway."

Following the conclusion of the Spanish Grand Prix, Lando Norris currently occupies the 11th position in the drivers' championship standings, having accumulated a total of 12 points.
