Greek women were surprisingly fashion-forward for their time. For instance, the concept of bold brows and unibrows, which is currently trending (thanks to figures like Cara Delevingne), was a notable feature of ancient Greek beauty standards.
In Greek culture, a unibrow was considered a mark of intellect and beauty. Those without natural unibrows would often draw them using makeup, substances like soot, black powder, or even affixing goat hair between their eyebrows to create the illusion.
