18. Out of focus shots create an artistic flair
This photoshoot trick doesn't have any rules. To use your imagination to make something perfect, you have complete independence. E.g., try taking an out-of-focus picture of a silhouette. Selective focusing is a fundamental process in which the photographer picks a single subject or object to concentrate on and uses a shallow depth of field to create a clear focus on it while blurring everything else. In doing this, the viewer's eye is drawn to the sharp picture.
You can even blur the whole picture intentionally; again, there are no rules! Bear in mind that a clearer object does not necessarily have to be at the center of the image. In some cases, the focus point could be at any position. This photography style is distinct from bokeh, which captures an out-of-focus background with different lighting effects. Ready for more?
