Returning to the United States for this next dream holiday destination, the Great Smoky Mountains are home to one of the most well-known national parks. Even though two walking trails were devastated by wildfires two years ago, authorities have agreed to reopen them. Since the park is part of UNESCO's International Biosphere Reserve, the Great Smoky Mountains are also home to some spectacular flora and fauna. The largest black bear population in the United States can be found in these mountains.

Aside from the park, what else can you do? The Great Smoky Mountains are also close to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood, and they hold an annual Christmas party, which could be better than the office party.
