Oh, love's birthplace! This was just too amazing to leave off our list of the best Airbnb destinations. This city, in particular, is steeped in history, as it was the site of D-Day during WWII. If you want to participate in this unique gathering, it will be organized for the 75th time next year.
Normandy is also just a few hours by train from Paris, a major cultural center. Beautiful landscapes, historic architecture, and the Route du Camembert hiking trail are all open to tourists.
