Loretta Young

Loretta Young had a remarkable and enduring career, commencing as a child actor as early as two or three in 1917 and persevering until 1953. She earned an Oscar nomination for her part in "Come to the Stable" and secured the Academy Award for Best Actress for her outstanding performance in the 1947 film "The Farmer's Daughter."

Young's personal life also drew attention, with her marriage to actor Grant Withers from 1930 to 1931 and a public affair with co-star Spencer Tracy. Remarkably, she started smoking at eight but quit in the mid-1980s to gain 10 pounds.
