15. "10 Minute" Rule

Do you struggle to start a project for a very long time, particularly one you don't care about working on? For a while, you could put it to the side or look for a new project to keep busy with. The issue of facing tasks you are not excited to work suggests that you drag your feet. You come up with excuses why you're unable to start, or you're losing motivation.

It would help if you used the 10-minute rule to hold your energy up. This tip is when you say to yourself that you will focus on the project for 10 minutes before beginning anything else. You can go back to it every hour for 10 minutes, or you might find yourself following the plans because you have started already, so you need to finish it.
