4. Create a pattern for the bathroom

People are often unsure where to begin when renovating their bathrooms. They can attempt to pick a color scheme. Yeah, but it isn't quite enough to make things look fashionable. Any of the most exquisite bathroom renovations I've ever seen began with a pattern. It may be a 1920s Boudoir, a Country Farmhouse, a Minimalist, a Victorian, a Bohemian, and so on. Naturally, you can choose a style that complements the rest of your house. If you've already settled on an aesthetic for your home, it's only normal to apply it to the toilet.

With that in mind, be wary when purchasing a bathroom theme from a retailer. This is perfect if you're decorating a child's bathroom with Walmart items featuring their beloved cartoon characters. When you buy so many matching articles from a store's bathroom department, though, the design process loses its imagination. It's OK to choose a few matching items from the same retailer, but don't feel compelled to purchase every single object.
