The supplies alone can be well over $100 when you are doing a major home improvement project. Though, for a fraction of the cost, you can often get project leftovers. Check out Craigslist's free site, as well as its "for sale- materials" section. You may also visit the Facebook Marketplace and build a social media status to ask your friends if they have what you are looking for.

Habitat for Humanity's thrift store is also an excellent place to find inexpensive products that have all been donated from the leftover ventures of other people. Besides, most hardware stores still have a clearance portion.
