4. Outdoor sitting area
British work is hard to maintain their gardens. So it only makes sense that they want a place to sit and enjoy the great outdoors. Having tables and chairs for you to enjoy a nice cup of tea, or at least a bench where you can read books, would be a complete garden. However, in the United States, finding these painted iron pieces may be outside your price range. Each spring and summer, there are outdoor tables and chairs sold at the garden centers of Walmart, Target, Lowes, and Home Depot. If you are working out this season, you can also search through different styles online.
3. A Boot Room
Most homes in England always have a starter room, which we will call the mudroom here in the United States. Because it is pouring, that means the dirt is often very muddy. And in bigger houses in the UK, you get people out there riding horses, hunting foxes, and collecting firewood. Having a separate space for taking off shoes is necessary if you want to keep the rest of the house clean. Not everyone in the US can afford to build such a space. But what you can do is set up a big coat and shoe rack near your front or back door. By the way, there's a designated space for you to sort out all your layers and take off dirty shoes before you track mud in the house.
