13. The guest bedroom
In the United States, people often turn a bedroom into a home office, gym, or craft room. But if a home is in the UK, it is very important to have a living room available for friends and family to stay. Even if the second bedroom is vacant for months, it's only safe to know that you're ready to welcome someone in. These guest bedrooms usually have a bed made and ready to sleep. They also make sure to have extra sheets, pillows, and toiletries in case someone stops. Even if you don't have a second bedroom, you can still implement the British plan for the possibility that your friends will stay.
