Putting Something Down
This woman, unlike most college librarians, had a terrific sense of humor. You'd be cracking up and howling with laughter, I'm sure. She bought this light only a few days ago, hoping to encourage more students to visit the library.
And it's true that a lot of people did. They swarmed around the lamp, poking and prodding it. However, she frequently had to ring the bell to urge them to speak quietly. It had been an eggcellent notion, to say the least. While the librarian was told to get rid of it, all she said was to shove it.
