25. Brass coating
Many decorators have bought into the all-brass trend of the past years, especially for bedroom decor. Unfortunately, matchy-matchy copper now has the very early 2000s feel that many homeowners no longer love. Do not be afraid! Brass furniture does not need to be replaced as some brass elements are still trendy, especially when combined with iron or another metal finish. When there's too much brass around, try coating a simple part with metal spray paint. It's a cheap and relatively easy way to change up metallic tones, and spray paint is available in various colors, including rose gold, metallic, and more.
