19. Art made of wood and stone
Natural fibers like jute, bamboo, and linen are in for textural finishes on upholstered chairs, pillows, and more this year, but they're out for wall art. For the past few years, macrame and other fiber wall arts have been approaching dangerously 1970s levels, and their time has finally come. Wood and stone wall accents will be common in 2021, following the biophilia trend of bringing some of the outdoors inside to help people connect with nature's beauty. Much better if the items are made by local artisans.
