John Candy as Gus Polinski
One of the unsung heroes of this story is the man in the bright yellow jacket, Gus Polinski. Gus comes to Kate's rescue when she is stranded at the airport, so close to reuniting with Kevin.
While on their way to a gig, Gus generously offers to give Kate a lift. The scene with Gus takes a comedic turn, as his attempts at comforting Kate don't quite go as planned. Nevertheless, Kate is immensely grateful for this man's kindness.
