Buzz McCallister, Kevin's older brother, embodies the typical older sibling archetype of being a bit of a bully and delighting in tormenting his younger counterpart. Throughout the film, Buzz consistently stands in Kevin's way, making his life more challenging.
Buzz maintains a façade of indifference towards his brother, casually remarking, "He's not that lucky," when asked if he's concerned about Kevin. However, as the movie approaches its conclusion and the family has their safe reunion, Buzz reveals his true affectionate side for his younger brother.
