Oh boy, the transformation of Danny DeVito into the Penguin for Batman Returns was no easy feat! First up, they had to stick on his beak-like nose, which acted as the anchor for the rest of his makeup. Then they added two sets of fake teeth, giving DeVito quite the chompers. But that wasn't all – to create a gross, bile-like fluid for the character, they mixed red and green food coloring with mouthwash. DeVito would take a mouthful of the concoction and let it ooze throughout the scene.
