Madam Sprout was among the Hogwarts professors who opposed Lord Voldemort's reign of terror, and the Mandrakes she cultivated played a crucial role in curing students whom Slytherin's Monster had petrified. Although her role in the franchise was not extensive, she valiantly defended the school and fought against the Death Eaters during the Battle of Hogwarts.
