Helena Ravenclaw, commonly known as the Grey Lady, lived during the 10th and 11th centuries but met a tragic end when the Bloody Baron murdered her. This grim act occurred after she refused to return home with him, having fled to Albania with her mother's diadem.
Both Helena and the Bloody Baron returned to Hogwarts Castle as ghosts. Helena played a pivotal role in aiding Harry Potter in his quest to hunt down Voldemort's Horcruxes, one of which happened to be her mother's diadem. Unfortunately, Helena's trust in Voldemort led her to disclose information about the diadem to him.
