Professor Sybill Trelawney, who taught Divination at Hogwarts, may have come across as an eccentric character in the Harry Potter franchise. However, her role was pivotal in foretelling major events.
She famously predicted the birth of a boy in July who would have the power to defeat the dark lord, uttering the iconic words, "either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives..." Sybill also prophesied Peter Pettigrew's escape and Lord Voldemort's return.
