#29 The Truth Behind Our Assumptions
As members of society, we often form beliefs and assumptions based on what we see in popular media and our own experiences. It can be disorienting to learn that something we once thought to be true is, in fact, not the case. The idea that polygraph tests could accurately determine if someone was lying or not through strange lines on a piece of paper is a prime example of this.
The realization that this is not the reality can be overwhelming and leave one feeling like their understanding of the world has been shattered. However, it's important to keep an open mind and be willing to question what we believe to be true in order to gain a deeper understanding of the world around us.
