"Operation Castration" - A CIA Plan
"Operation Castration" was one of the CIA's covert plans to invade Cuba and eliminate Fidel Castro. The CIA devised at least eight strategies to assassinate or discredit Castro, including a scheme involving an exploding seashell.
Fidel Castro assumed power in Cuba in 1959, and the plan aimed to create public support for a war against Cuba by attributing terrorist attacks to the Cuban government, with the U.S. government responsible for carrying them out.
