Compulsory Voting in Cuba
In Cuba, voting is legally mandatory for all citizens aged 16 and above, except those who are physically ill or incarcerated. This obligation extends to participation in local, state, and parliamentary elections.
Cuba does not hold general elections, and the extent of electoral fraud in current voting procedures is challenging to ascertain. The Legislative Council, an authorized institution, selects the President.
