Exploring Cuba's Enchanting Coastline

Cuba's stunning coastline, stretching for nearly 3,570 miles (5,745 kilometers), is characterized by multiple bays, picturesque beaches, vibrant aquatic vegetation, diverse marine ecosystems, and dramatic rocky cliffs. In the heart of this coastline, you'll encounter impressive features like the 16-mile-long (26-km-long) Cave of Santo Tomás in the Sierra Quemado region of southwestern Cuba.

Surrounding the largest island is an underwater platform covering an additional 30,000 square miles (78,000 square kilometers). You'll find Los Colorados, Sabana, and Camagüey along the northern and western shores, while the central coast boasts the Jardines de la Reina ("Queen's Gardens"). Numerous cays and archipelagoes, including Canarreos encircle the outer islands.
