UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Cuba's UNESCO World Heritage sites mirror the country's rich natural and cultural diversity. It's no surprise that Cuba boasts nine such sites.
To earn a place on the world heritage list, a site must possess "outstanding universal value, demonstrating international significance" and "transcend national borders, being of shared interest to present and future generations of all humanity." Over time, Cuba has successfully preserved its heritage, culture, and atmosphere. One of these cultural world heritage sites is located in Old Havana.
