24. Shoe Racks Or Cabinets By the door

In Japan (or even any Asian household), people always take their shoes off before entering a house. Furthermore, as most Japanese houses come with wooden floors, wearing shoes indoor will probably scratch them or leave dirt or mud everywhere. As a result, most homeowners in the country often choose to use a cubby to keep their shoes. For others who don't like them, they will use a cabinet and place it at the entryway. To differentiate between the door and living room, you could often find a step that goes down to put the shoes.
