5. Air Conditioning and Heating Units Placement

Different from the west, most Japanese houses don't have HVAC systems. Instead, they opt for a single-unit heat and air conditioning. Furthermore, people tend to install them at the top of their wall, close to the ceiling. In many cases, you will need to use a remote control to switch on/off and change the temperate. Rather than having a box air con unit and putting them into a window, this seems like a much more convenient way. You can leave them there even when winter comes, and tune it up once a year with the help from a professional. For tiny homeowners, this will be a major game changing!
