18. Save space with Sliding Doors
We have mentioned quite a lot of times that houses in Japan are often not big. As a result, they tend to avoid using doors that swing open. Other than saving space, the chance of it hitting your furniture is also lowered. The only door that you can swing open is often the bathroom one due to the waterproof seal.
