A Bit Harsh
Certain events are beyond an individual's control. For instance, this person couldn't have planned for their bathroom to flood in the morning. Remarkably, considering the circumstances, they still managed to make it to the second half of their shift.
However, their supervisors didn't seem to appreciate the employee's efforts, expecting an unreasonable level of commitment. Such expectations may not align with the reality of unforeseen emergencies.
